If only I could live in a tree,
Live there and be free.
No need to worry about money,
Nor whether it was rainy or sunny.
I'd feel the breeze in my hair,
With weather none but fair.
Sleeping under the stars,
Without roads or cars.
Oh how peaceful it would be,
And maybe you could join me.
The two of us, together at last,
Forgetting about our painful past.
We could have over a friend or two,
But only do what we want to do.
We'd laugh and cry and sing and sigh.
We'd watch the sun rise and fall through the sky.
And then at night under the moon,
I might play a soft little tune.
And maybe, just maybe, I'd sing you to sleep,
In the night so sweet, and the night so deep.
Here away from all human lies,
We sit together and watch the sun rise.
And our hands clasped in the first sun beam.
I turn to you and whisper, "This is only a dream."
-Dedicated to someone is very special and very (most) important to me.
